AccuGrain is a door casting process that uses multiple dies to produce different graining types in order to cast the appearance of real wood into the fiberglass doors. At a high-level, the process starts with a wood door using select pieces of wood that have the graining and wood characteristics to be reproduced. Then the door is readied using proprietary technology to enhance the natural graining depth on the wood before casting.
Finally, with the graining technology, the product undergoes multiple casting. This process, called random depth graining, combined with the multiple dies to produce different graining types, makes the fiberglass doors virtually indistinguishable from real wood doors. This gives you the beauty of a wood door with all the benefits of our fiberglass doors — doors that won’t split, crack or rot like real wood.
